SECURITY GUARD TRAINING - LEVEL II, LEVEL III AND LEVEL IV (PERSONAL PROTECTION OFFICER)

  

Security guards play a critical role in maintaining safety and security in a wide variety of environments, including workplaces, residential buildings, government facilities, and more. Since they’re responsible for the safety of both people and property, security guards need

a robust set of skills in order to do their jobs well. Here are some of the most important skills you will learn as a security guard as you train with me, whether your goal is Level II (unarmed), Level III (armed) or Level IV PPO (Personal Protection Officer).


1. Observation Skills - keep your eyes looking around

2. Communication Skills - use proper English - be polite

3. Situational Awareness - know your surroundings

4. Physical Fitness - your physical being is extremely important

5. Conflict Resolution, use of Force and Deadly Force

6. Problem-Solving Abilities - empathy/sympathy

7. Integrity and Ethics - personal presence - honesty is key

8. Technical Proficiency - knowing your job and position

9. Customer Service Skills - help those graciously

10. Knowledge of Penal Codes and Legal Regulations - THE LAWS

11. First Aid and CPR Certification - ready to help those who are hurt

12.  Firearms Training and Certification - handgun proficiency and SAFETY

13.  Self Defense Tactics - be able to move and take control

14.  Report Writing - who, what, where, when, why and how

15.  Alternate weapons and handcuffing

16.  Arrests - with or without a warrant - should you detain or arrest?

17.  And, most important, PERSONAL PRESENCE
