A bit about Dennis

I am a decorated Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, Pilot and avid golfer, playing on the U. S. Am Tour.

I am a Texas Department of Public Safety License to Carry Handgun Instructor, a licensed School Safety Certification Instructor, a Certified Firearms Safety Instructor, a licensed Private Security Level II (unarmed Security officer), Level III (armed security officer) and Level IV (Personal Protection Officer) Classroom and Firearms Certification Instructor. I am also a Texas State OC (pepper) Spray Certification Instructor, an Active Shooter Training Instructor and a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Instructor. I, personally, continue to train and pursue further State of Texas Instructor certifications.

I am also an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, an NRA certified Refuse to Be a Victim Instructor, an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer and an NRA membership recruiter.

I am a U.S. Law Shield certified Texas State Permit less Carry Instructor, should you decide that a License to Carry is not for you. For your protection and legal defense, should you have to use a weapon in a self-defense scenario, I am a Right to Bear facility. Ask about the Right to Bear program.

I am a very passionate and a "by the book, NO BS " instructor and I dedicate myself to passing on my knowledge to my students.

By obtaining your License to carry, not only will you learn the Texas State Penal Codes, proper handling of a firearm, non-violent dispute resolution, proper firearm storage, and the most important, FIREARM SAFETY RULES. You will also learn that there are many places that have this sign posted by TABC (Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission) wherever alcohol is sold not for consumption on premise (Walmart, convenience stores, etc.). It is one of the most common warning signs (such as the one to the right) posted by TABC in Texas.

Without a LTC, entering one of these establishments, carrying a weapon IS A FELONY with a maximum penalty up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

There are other signs, such as (Penal Codes 30.05, 30.06, 30.07 and others), that you must have knowledge of in order to keep you protected from breaking the law. By taking an LTC class you will learn what those signs are and the understanding of where you can and where you can't carry a firearm.

Carrying a firearm for personal defense is a personal choice that comes with great responsibility.

Learning self-defense in a class where safety and knowledge is paramount, is the best choice for understanding State laws, Penal Codes and your responsibilities for safely and legally defending yourself, your loved ones and others in that crucial moment, should that ever occur. Just strapping a gun on and thinking that you are good to go is NOT the answer.

There ARE major differences and State Laws pertaining to permit less carry - the State of Texas is NOT a constitutional State.
