This is a full course - online classroom portion and in-person proficiency demonstration firearms qualification. (Veteran, couples, 1st responder discounts available).
Students supply their own ammunition (or can purchase it from me for $30) and pay their own range fees.
Here, you will be shooting a total of 50 rounds of your preferred caliber. You will be shooting 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 rounds at 7 yards and 10 rounds at 15 yards. Each round counts as 5 points to a total of 250 points for a perfect score. In order to pass and receive your certificate, you must complete the range portion with a score of, at least, 175 (which is 70%).
Students supply their own ammunition (or can purchase it from me for $30) and pay their own range fees.
This is an NRA sanctioned course which will take you through handgun safety, the different types of handguns, proper grip, sight alignment, sight picture, etc. (A range session is included).

This is a per hour instruction session for those who own and shoot handguns but just need that extra help. This is to help you handgun safety, proper grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger pull, etc.

This is primarily a Department of Public Safety requirement for those who are to become un-armed security guards. This is an 8-hour course containing State laws, Penal Codes personal presence, etc.. If a Level II guard will be carrying OC (pepper) spray, an OC spray certification class is required.
This is a 16-hour (2-day) Department of Public Safety required classroom and a firearms qualification (scoring at least 70%) at an outdoor range, pertaining to Texas Laws/Penal codes, personal presence, self-defense, handcuffing, baton, etc.

For those applicants who take or have taken the classroom portion of the Private Security Level III course ONLINE, you will need to attend a four (6) hour, in person, hands on, training class, where you will learn the self-defense tactics required by the State to qualify you to be a Level III (armed) Security Guard. In this class, you will learn tactics such as stances, foot movements, arm grabs, arm drags, pressure points, baton strikes, take downs, kicks, handcuffing, etc.
Commissioned security officers shall complete a Department of Public Safety required six (6) hour classroom refresher course and a firearms requalification, scoring a minimum of 70% as required by Texas Administration Code 35.161(g).

The Level IV State required class (minimum 15 hours) and a test is required for all Personal Protection Officers. This training course must be taught by a licensed Level IV Instructor. Learning Objectives: The applicant will have an understanding of the legal authorities pertaining to Personal Protection Officer Commission, responsibilities and be able to demonstrate proficiency techniques.
You must be a Level III Armed Security Officer. Retired Law Enforcement discount available.
A short 4-hour refresher class - required by the Department of Public Safety set to ensure that Personal Protection Officers maintain their perception of the Level IV responsibilities, professionalism techniques and tactics necessary to carry out duties as a Commissioned Personal Protection Officer.
This is a State of Texas REQUIRED class if a Private Security Guard is going to carry OC (pepper) spray on duty. Covers the history of chemical weapons, the usage, medical aid, pros and cons, etc. A certificate of successful completion will be issued.
Here, the retired Officer must qualify at the range as follows:
TCOLE Certification: - Texas Occupation Code 1701.357
(1) B-27 or similar silhouette target.
(2) Combat scoring.
(3) A minimum of 50 rounds.
4) Fired at ranges from point blank (3 yards) to at least 15 yards with a least 20 rounds at or beyond seven yards.
5) Including at least one timed reload; and
(6) Minimum passing percentage of 70 (175 out of a possible 250 for 50 rounds)
Students must pay their own range fees.
